My now wife, Melissa & I were planning our wedding in Brisbane. We had decided on an October date and struggled to make arrangements during such a busy wedding period. 

Finally, all was arranged & invitations were being prepared. Most of our friends & relations were travelling from the southern states, this in itself a minefield of logistics we were trying to give everybody time to make arrangements. 

This was the point we had reached when we decided that this perhaps was not the wedding day we really wanted!! 

Melissa & I had seen ‘St Mary’s by the Sea’ in Pt Douglas & thought it would be a great setting for our big day. Right on the harbour, in a park with a beach – it was perfect but could we arrange a wedding from Brisbane in time? 

We really struck it lucky with The Wedding Company of Port Douglas.  I couldn’t believe that 2 phone calls & a letter was all that was needed to arrange our big day.  They took care of EVERYTHING!!  All we had to do was get on the plane. 

The weekend was upon us & we flew north arriving Friday night for a Sunday wedding. Everything was arranged. Accommodation, Flowers, Hairdressers, Church, Celebrant, Car, Reception Venue – they took care of the lot. 

On the day we had the time of our lives. I could not believe that everything could go so smoothly, it gave us a chance to just relax and enjoy the moment – forever. 

Many thanks to The Wedding Company for making our day so great. We already plan to come & do it all over again!
